Course Description

This 4-week elective will provide students with an understanding of factors that influence the health status of underserved populations. This course covers a broad array of topics affecting equity in women's health, including the history of racism in obstetrics and gynecology, bias, and social determinants of health. Students will spend four weeks gaining direct patient care experience at Banner University Medical Center and partnering community health clinics that serve diverse populations.
