Course Description
In this course students will explore various ways online courses provide more flexibility and new ways to collaborate. They will learn that success in the online environments is directly related to how present and engaged both the instructor and the learners are with the content and each other. Students will apply strategies for online learners to actively engage, process more deeply and perform better in retention and application of course content. Students will learn about the history and development of digital learning environments, from smart tutoring systems to open educational resources. Student projects include designing prototypes for mediating a collaborative engaged online learning experience.
