Course Description
This course is the fourth of six required professional development workshops in the Ph.D. program in Government and Public Policy. It is designed to guide and inspire third-year students as they begin to develop ideas for their dissertation project, specifically through the process of preparing the prospectus document. We will work through strategies to identify potential motivating questions based on broader research agendas/interests, identify key components of the prospectus document, and discuss how to support dissertation research by building useful committees and pursuing grants and fellowships.
