COGS512 - Experience in Neuroimaging Study Design and Analysis
Course ID
042562
Course Description
Through both lectures and hands-on experience, students will explore the entire pipeline for running an experiment to analyze MRI scans of the human brain. This pipeline includes etiquette, safety and privacy protocols, selection and collection of appropriate scan sequences, data transfer, data processing, and analysis. This course provides scan time for each student or group (~5 hours per semester). Students have the opportunity to work closely with an MRI technician to design a protocol, get scanned (optional), transfer and convert the scans to BIDS, preprocess, perform statistical analysis, and visualize the results. Students will work closely with the instructors to navigate the processes involved. This course will require creative problem solving and the ability to work independently
