MED891D - International Away Elective
Course ID
042828
Course Description
This course is a hands-on experience for fourth year medical students who wish to do an international rotation that does not qualify under the Global Health Distinction Track (GHDT). The rotations done under the purview of the GHDT must be in a low-to-middle income country and require the Global Health Intensive Course as a prerequisite. This elective allows students outside of the GHDT to rotate in countries that do not meet the above criteria. It can be in any other country of interest to the medical student. The medical student will arrange the rotation with the approval of the College of Medicine Global Health Co-directors and is responsible for providing the Office of Global and Border Health with the required information and course objectives.
