Course Description

This is a studio-based course where students will work in teams to produce professional-quality planning work. Students will be practicing planning skills they have developed so far in the Master of Science in Urban Planning program and learning how to deliver a complex, multi-part, professional project in a collaborative team environment. Students from each concentration area are expected to learn how to work collaboratively with allied disciplines and community partners. In Planning Projects Prep, students will work with project clients and develop a scope of work and timeline for their projects, including task sequencing, describing on-going deliverables, and identifying data needs. The activities developed in the scope of work will be completed during the Spring studio course (PLG 611).
