Course Description
The Introduction to the Profession is a week-long transition to medical school course to prepare students for the Preclerkship, Clerkship, and Transition to Residency phases of their curriculum. Students will meet the College of Medicine Tucson (COM-T) leadership; course sessions will introduce students to the curriculum, professionalism panel, and careers in medicine with time built in to cultivate bonds with fellow classmates. Representatives will share campus resources such as safety and security, mental health, and disability resources. The course will spend a day on a community engagement activity and end the week with the White Coat Ceremony.
