In this class, we will discuss the major papers, both theoretical and empirical, in the overlapping literature of public and political economics. The focus will be on microeconomics oriented concepts covering the main topics in both fields, such as public goods, expenditures and revenues, the role of government branches, elections, legislation, and lobbying.
