This course will introduce students to the ways in which data analytics and statistics are being used to explore and address issues faced in both the private and public sectors. It will focus on building a conceptual understanding of the fundamental statistical/analytical foundations such as common notation, data sources and types, probability theory, hypothesis testing, common statistical tests, and data visualization.
