Course Description

This course introduces students to the theoretical and practical issues in conducting clinical psychological science including strengths and limitations to different research designs, issues around hypothesis testing, as well as threats to validity and how to mitigate them. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to critically evaluate existing research studies and assess their methodological rigor and validity. The course emphasizes the importance of cultural considerations in research and assessment, exploring issues of cultural sensitivity, diversity, and the adaptation of assessment tools for diverse populations.
