The elective options allow students to develop skills and knowledge in areas of interest and in which they might subsequently wish to pursue clinical specialization. These three-week modules, students select four, will be opportunities for comprehensive education with skilled specialists and development of the necessary scientific basis and clinical and personal skills for the settings. Students may have the opportunity to participate in one of these more specialized settings for their final terminal clinical experience. The growing demand for research in the field of Physical Therapy and the national shortage of qualified faculty makes this an excellent opportunity for students who may be thinking about entering academia or specializing in research to gain further experience in these areas.
