Students will explore the mechanisms of underlying diseases and disorders, enabling them to recognize, assess, and manage patients effectively in the prehospital environment. The curriculum covers a wide range of medical conditions commonly encountered by paramedics, emphasizing how pathophysiological processes impact patient presentation and care. By course completion, students will possess a solid foundation in medical pathophysiology, helping them make informed clinical decisions and provide precise care for patients experiencing a variety of health conditions. This course is essential for students to understand the \"why\" behind the patient's \"what.\"
