Course Description
This course explores principles and practices at play in the design and production of things through advanced fabrication and mass manufacture processes. Students are introduced to processes of problem seeking, problem definition and performance criteria as well as sustainable materials, methods and processes employed in the production. Students develop skills visualizing designs; exploring materials and fabrication methods and their application in prototypes; gathering user feedback; iterative development and developing awareness of the social and ecological impact of things designed.
