Course Description

This course explores wildlife fictional films as a way to create solutions for human challenges while exploring uncomfortable or even taboo human experiences through community storytelling. Students will critically engage with the film artists perspective by viewing and analyzing numerous wildlife films, gaining awareness and understanding of various film genres and narratives, categorizing and practicing common methodologies in film, and by forming a well-rounded appreciation for how film-making artists approach their creative enterprise.
