Course Description
This course examines the application of Excel and financial modeling techniques to contemporaneous Excel challenges from real-world Excel Esports and Financial Modeling competitions. The course materials will be directly derived from recent competitions, and class time will be spent discussing and analyzing ways to solve competition challenges. Rather than focusing on Excel basics or fundamentals of finance and financial modeling, the course is oriented around using logic and problem solving to find the best solutions to competition challenges. The course is designed to develop students' analytic, problem-solving, and Excel skills, with the aim of improving performance in competitions such as the Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge.
