Course Description

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the complexities of studying women's health conditions across life, spanning in-utero exposures, menstruation, reproduction, gynecologic health, menopause, and chronic diseases. To achieve this goal, students will learn about a wide variety of diseases and risk factors that are common among women over time. Women's health is often thought to be synonymous with maternal health and while this course will cover reproduction and pregnancy through the life course lens, this course purposefully will also discuss how to research a wide range of chronic and infectious health conditions and risk factors that impact women.
