Course Description
This course is designed to teach students the fundamental skills in the delivery of cognitive behavioral approaches to therapy, with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) specifically. Through readings, role plays, presentations, and classroom discussions, the course will integrate their theoretical knowledge of CBT with practical skills in delivery of CBT intervention elements using a process-oriented approach. The course will prepare students to use cognitive behavioral therapy in an applied practice setting for the treatment of common psychological problems and will involve a significant amount of role-plays to facilitate skill development.
