Course Description

This core course focused on Race, Culture, and Language in Special Education is designed for doctoral students. A central goal of the course is to understand the complexities of engaging in research and scholarship at the intersection of disability, race, culture, and language by examining how socio -historical, cultural, political, and economic contexts shape in/equities in special education. To do this, we will examine interdisciplinary special education scholarship that focuses on students across disability categories using multiple research methods.
