Course Description

Individual or small group research under the guidance of faculty. The purpose of this course is to engage students who are primarily going into applied and service related fields to critically examine peer-reviewed literature to analyze a topic related to developmental disabilities.   Examples include: a literature review of length and depth sufficient to address the question posed; development of a tool useful for training on a topic relevant to developmental disabilities (this would be informed by the literature); analyzing and interpreting data from a study, again seeking out the literature to inform the interpretation; developing a survey, again informed by the literature (would require IRB approval).
