Course Description

The course is intended to provide education to students interested in working in the medical professions in a community with a diverse population. This course will cover the importance of knowing the diverse cultures in the United States, with an emphasis on Arizona. It will also introduce how cultural choices around food influences patients' medical decision-making and how these decisions contribute to or interfere with the patients' health outcomes.
