Course Description
The purposes of this course entail; (1) understanding theoretical foundations of qualitative data analysis, (2) reviewing various qualitative data analysis approaches such as inductive, thematic analysis, phenomenological analysis, and narrative analysis, and (3) applying analytic approaches to data sets step-by-step. Course topics will include varieties of analytic approaches, units of analysis and categorization, causal explanations and inferences, data analysis triangulation, alternative representation, CAQDAS, and evaluation of qualitative analysis.
