Students conduct research under the guidance of a faculty member. The course can be 1-3 credit hours. One credit hour is equivalent to three hours of research work per week, including laboratory, field, and computational research. A letter grade will be given at the completion. Students can use a maximum of three credit hours to count as a tech-elective course. Students will not be paid by conducting the research.
