This is a field-based course where students will work with an assigned mentor teacher in an elementary classroom. Students will utilize their time observing and assisting the teacher and engaging in teaching practices under the guidance of the mentor teacher, including planning, preparation and family engagement. Closely connected to coursework, the field experience serves as an opportunity for students to apply what they are learning in their classes by working in schools, in ESL or Bilingual classrooms and with students.
