Course Description

The goal of this course is to educate students about climate change and its alarming impact on our planet and ourselves. Within the framework of psychological science, we will explore how each one of us contributes to climate change itself and how we can also be part of the solution to this critical concern. We will explore topics such as mental health and wellbeing; how personal and societal beliefs, cultures, information processing, and decision-making play a critical role in shaping behaviors related to climate change and action; how to apply psychological approaches to motivate and facilitate positive and environmentally-friendly practices.
