Course Description
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an applications-oriented foundation and the skills to apply the principles of research design and statistical methods to comprehend and critically evaluate the health sciences literature, research reports, and study proposals, with a special emphasis on human therapeutics and pharmaceutical care. The overall goal is for students to accept the responsibility to prepare for a lifetime of evaluation and evidence-based decision-making in the practice setting. This course is focused on interpretation and application, rather than computation. This is a hybrid course combining lectures, group exercises, and individual exercises.
