Course Description

The Primary Care Accelerated Medical School Program (PCAMP) Family Medicine Topics course is a required 3 week-long course designed for students to explore the topics of translational research, evidenced based medicine, population health and social determinants of health. Throughout this course, students will engage with various key figures including their preceptors, the Family and Community Medicine clerkship director, clinical and research experts in population health and social determinants of health. These interactions aim to acquaint students with these key topics in Family Medicine. This course will include a blend of presentations, small group activities, 1:1 with their scholarly project advisor, as well as supervised clinical sessions.
