Course ID
043622
Course Description
Our overarching objective is to learn to evaluate natural resources with the potential to support opportunities for nature-based tourism. We will consider economic, environmental, altruistic, and other values that influence these opportunities. We will learn to identify the data needed, ways to design and implement surveys to collect those data, including in situ surveys and interview techniques, as well as methods to evaluate current and future tourism activities. We will apply these methods to a final project that will include data visualizations and other summaries to help evaluate opportunities for nature-based tourism.
