Independent Study is an optional course for most students but may be required as a result of failure to demonstrate minimum program competencies in any other program required course. Students who fail to meet those passing standards may be offered an opportunity to remediate specific components of a course with faculty oversight. Students may not continue in the required program courses until successful remediation has been completed.
