Course Description

Clinical Reasoning I is the first in a three-semester course series utilizing team-based learning that is designed to prepare the physician assistant student (PA-S) with the opportunity to learn and practice applying clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to a wide variety of clinically relevant scenarios. Students will work through clinical cases in small and medium sized teams to process clinical reasoning skills related to clinical content being taught in other related courses (Clinical Medicine, Clinical Skills, Foundations in Medicine, etc.). The course is only offered in the Fall semester (1 credit hour)
