Course Description
This course introduces undergraduates to the field of image science, including imaging metrics, image processing, imaging techniques, and the mathematics behind imaging. The course provides both an overview of the many application domains of imaging in the physical and biological sciences including biological imaging, astronomy, remote sensing, metrology, and industrial inspection and an in-depth review of the applications of medical imaging. The course is intended for undergraduates who want to learn more about this field or want to pursue a career in any of the areas of imaging.
