Course Description

Apply nursing concepts and clinical skills to care for adults with altered health conditions. Demonstrate professional accountability and culturally responsive care for the adult population within medical-surgical settings. Utilize information technology to support clinical decision-making. Engage in effective collaboration within intra- and interprofessional healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Note: This course includes 90 clinical/skills lab hours. This is the independent study (IND) component of this course. Students are expected to complete these hours through a combination of simulation, skill acquisition, and community-based clinical immersion.
