Course Description

The course covers life course considerations, psychotherapeutic drugs and pharmacological treatment for psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology and comorbid conditions, and the role of human service professionals supporting clients with mental health conditions. The course also emphasizes the role of ethics and standards related to non-prescribing human service professionals and paraprofessionals as members of multidisciplinary treatment teams and the boundaries related to the support they can provide clients undergoing mental health treatment.
