Course Description

Cultural Heritage Informatics is an interdisciplinary field of research and practice that relates to the collection, organization, preservation, curation, analysis, and visualization of cultural heritage data. The course introduces concepts, methods, and practices in information work; explores the frameworks of cultural heritage institutions such as libraries, archives, museums, historical societies; and unpacks ethical approaches to collections building, community engagement, and research design.
