Model building from data is a foundational part of analytics. This course gives a rigorous introduction into the regression model alongside related topics. After examining distributions for modeling data, hypothesis testing, and correlation, the course focuses on the modeling process. The course concludes with an introduction to modeling binary categorical outcomes through logistic regression. Although mathematical matrices and theory are included, the emphasis is on learning to construct business models from data. Computations will be completed using current software packages.
