Course Description

This course examines the developmental processes from childhood to adulthood, focusing on the stages of both children and adults (parents and grandparents). It explores physical, cognitive, socio-emotional, personality, and mental health development in relation to culture and the parent-child relationship. The course reviews theories and research on how parents can best support healthy development at each stage of a child's growth. Additionally, students will learn strategies for effectively engaging parents in prevention services.
