Our world is changing. Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are remaking the way we shop, travel, learn, and live. This course will survey the uses of data science in everyday life. What is data science and how is it driving today's world? To answer these questions we will investigate how machines learn. Can machines think? For example, how is ChatGPT able to answer questions? What are the ethical considerations in data science? Are predictions from data sometimes biased? What can we do about it? By uncovering how data science works, this course will give you the perspective to chart a path in this world.
