Program Description

Additive Manufacturing (or 3-D Printing) has become an enabling product realization approach that provides fundamentally new opportunities for the rapid design and fabrication of parts used in applications ranging from aerospace and mechanics to biological systems and optics. Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing methods and their application is fast becoming a critical element of engineering practice across multiple disciplines. In an effort to address this need, the College of Engineering Additive Manufacturing minor provides the student with the foundational principles of AM processes and the computer-aided design capabilities necessary to implement these technologies.
