AISMA - American Indian Studies

Master of Arts

The University of Arizona's Master of Arts in American Indian Studies is the first degree of its kind. This two-year program provides you a unique opportunity to explore issues critically important to American Indian nations and communities locally, statewide and nationally. You will gain an understanding of Native people from an Indigenous perspective and the ability to recognize commonalities and diversity of American Indian and Indigenous communities. You will also build relationships with and contribute to these communities. You will determine what your engagement, accountability and service will look like as you work toward your specific area of focus/specialization.
