Program Description
Anthropologists repeatedly ask questions about the human experience. What does it mean to be human? What will become of humans? The top-ranked School of Anthropology seeks to answer these questions by taking an integrated subdisciplinary approach that embraces archaeology and biological, linguistic and sociocultural anthropology. You may choose the stand-alone M.A. in Applied Archaeology or earn an M.A. in another subdiscipline while studying for a Ph.D. in the field. The program curriculum includes coursework as well as internships, practicums and a thesis presenting original and substantive research.
