Program Description
Earning a Master of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics will prepare you to conduct research and is a step along the path toward doctoral studies. Required courses include Cosmology; Instrumentation and Statistics; and Structure and Dynamics of Galaxies, as well as eight units of research. You'll benefit from close mentorships with faculty, researchers and doctoral students within the program, plus hands-on experience with the tools and facilities of the field. The goal is threefold: deepen your knowledge of astronomy and astrophysics, develop a base of skills for astronomical study and prepare to conduct original research.
