Program Description
The Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics Department offers this graduate certificate that teaches valuable industry-oriented skills and broadens your understanding of the more specialized aspects of the field of transportation engineering. Select from courses such as Traffic Engineering and Operations and Highway Geometric Design. Upon completion, you will be prepared to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development and operational evaluation of total systems for the physical movement of people, materials and information. This includes general network design and planning, facilities planning, site evaluation, transportation management systems, needs projections and analysis, and cost analysis.
