Computational social science is an emerging field that's growing fast in an ever-expanding digital landscape. It's the point where computer science meets social science, where extensive databases of information stored on servers around the globe provide ample data to study human activity. The Graduate Certificate in Computational Social Sciences prepares you to use computational techniques to analyze social data or create social simulations that will contribute to innovative problem-solving for some of the world's most-pressing problems. The program is open to students currently enrolled in a master's or Ph.D. program at the University of Arizona.
