Program Description
The MFA program in Dance is a two-year degree emphasizing research in choreography and performance. Graduate students work alongside talented peers and undergraduates to create, collaborate and present their research. You will be mentored through the research process, which culminates in your thesis product. Additionally, individual works can be auditioned for integrated programs or produced separately. Teaching assistantships and preceptorships are available each semester, providing opportunities for you to gain experience in both studio and lecture class instruction. The Master of Fine Arts in Dance program prepares you to create, teach and lead in a range of professional settings, both nationally and internationally.
