Insects can inform our understanding of how the planet responds to climate change and how we can increase sustainability and reduce our carbon footprint. The Department of Entomology is among the highest ranked among U.S. universities with a broad wealth of expertise in both basic and applied fields. This Certificate offers a flexible course of study that the students can tailor to their own interests. Possible area of interest include (but are not limited to): insect pest management, public health and medical entomology, systematics, genomics, behavior, ecology, physiology and evolutionary biology.
