Program Description
Students interested in adding the ENVS minor to their doctoral plan of study, should first select a Minor Professor. ENVS Faculty and their research are listed on the department website. The doctoral minor in Environmental Science constitutes at least twelve units which should be selected in consultation with the ENVS Minor Professor. The Minor Professor must be included in the Comprehensive Examination Committee.
Learning Outcomes
- Possess sound foundational knowledge in the biological, chemical, earth, and physical sciences as related to environmental systems.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills necessary to evaluate the scientific literature essential for Environmental Science and how this is complementary with the research conducted for their major.
