Program Description
Genetic counselors are medical professionals who work as part of the health care team to help patients, families and other health care providers interpret, understand and make decisions about genetic health. The Genetic Counseling graduate program is a two-year M.S. degree that combines coursework with real-world experience. You will benefit from rich fieldwork experiences and learn to take and interpret medical histories for likelihood of disease; provide counseling and risk assessment to foster informed decision-making; and educate others about genetics. You will graduate ready for a career in this quickly changing and rapidly growing field.
