Program Description

The Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Indigenous Governance was designed with working professionals in mind. The program combines brief but intensive on-campus classes with diverse online courses and externship credits that can be earned in your home community. You can further your education in one of three focus areas: Tribal Justice, Native Economic Development or Natural Resources. The curriculum includes a series of \"\"January in Tucson\"\" courses, covering topics such as Native nation-building and Indigenous peoples' human rights. This intensive education session gives you the opportunity to hold constructive discussions with Indigenous leaders, practitioners and community members from around the world.
