Program Description
Study of the history, culture, language and religion of the Jewish people, one of the world's oldest and most resilient groups. Judaic Studies takes an interdisciplinary approach to learning about all aspects of Jewish culture. Using Modern Hebrew as the base, this Bachelor of Arts program focuses on Biblical Hebrew, Classical Aramaic, and other languages spoken by Jewish communities as well, and touches on topics related to ancient Israel, medieval Jewish history and modern Judaism. In addition to coursework in language and history, students explore Middle East politics and Jewish arts and literature, gaining important critical thinking skills, cross-cultural knowledge and a historical perspective all of which set them up for success in careers in sectors like international business and nonprofit organizations.
