Program Description
Students working toward a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) can specialize as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Earning the PNP Graduate Certificate enables students to meet the physiological and psychological needs of children in a variety of pediatric health care settings, such as private practice, ambulatory settings, school-based clinics, subspecialty clinics and within the home. Graduate students train to provide care to children from birth through young adult, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of, and relying on real-world experience in, pediatric primary health care. This includes well childcare and the prevention and management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions.
