Program Description
The master's degree program in Philosophy immerses you in the practice of thinking deeply, analytically and autonomously about questions fundamental to the place of the person in the natural and social world - it's an exploration into the basic understanding of human existence. The two-year program will help you continue your academic studies to earn a Ph.D. or J.D., or to pursue a professional career after completing your master's. Coursework includes Metaphysics, Ethics, History of Philosophy, Value Theory and Cognitive Science. There is no thesis requirement to complete the M.A. in Philosophy.
